When it comes to praying, have you ever been at a loss for words? I have.
Recently, someone close to me was diagnosed with a serious illness. I remember walking around in shock for days after receiving the news.
I didn't know what to pray. I didn't know what to think. My emotions were everywhere all at once.
I prayed, "God, I love you. I don't know what to pray for this person, but I pray that you help me. Untangle my emotions, help me to think clearly and to move forward with loving actions. Please help this person's caregivers. Give them comfort, gentleness, and endurance through this long road. Thank you, Lord. Amen."
I take comfort knowing that the Holy Spirit advocates for me in a way that I'm not able.
Romans 8:26-27 says, '"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words" And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. '
I would really appreciate your prayers right now. And I've love to pray for you as well. You can use our Prayer tab and even submit prayer requests anonymously.
God love you.
